The Park of Gardens is a popular destination for holidaymakers and people from the region. It is easy to reach using a variety of transport options.

 

How to get to the Park of Gardens

By bike

From the town of Bad Zwischenahn (incl. railway station/ZOB) there are signposted footpaths and cycle paths (approx. 2.5 km) along the Zwischenahner Meer directly to the entrance of the Park der Gärten. There are sufficient bicycle racks and an e-bike charging station in front of the entrance.

 

The nearest junction (destination signpost) at the Park der Gärten is Knotenpunkt 92.
It is located on the lakeside path around the Zwischenahner Meer near the fishing harbour.
Park der Gärten is signposted from there.

The Park of Gardens is on the following cycle routes:

Sufficient bike parking spaces with bicycle racks are available in front of the visitor centre.

 

The ADAC bike service station is equipped with a wide range of high-quality tools. Minor repairs to bkes can be carried out independently on site. The bike service station is also suitable for minor breakdowns on pushchairs, wheelchairs or handcarts. It can be used around the clock and is free of charge for everyone.

 

By public transport

From Mondays to Sundays, you can reach the park on bus routes 350 and 370. During the season, the Park der Gärten can be reached seven days a week from 7 a.m. to midnight every 30 minutes. The journey from Park der Gärten in the direction of ZOB Bad Zwischahn/Oldenburg is only possible daily until 10 pm! Please note the timetable.
Use the barrier-free bus stop "Park der Gärten" directly at the entrance to the park.

By car, campervan & coach

The Park der Gärten is easily accessible from the greater Hamburg and Hanover areas via the A28 motorway and from the greater Osnabrück, East Frisia and Netherlands areas via the A31 or A28 motorways.

From the "Zwischenahner Meer" motorway junction on the A28 (exit no. 8), a signposting system shows the way to the Park der Gärten car parks directly north of the Rostrup district of Bad Zwischenahn.

Please use the signposted traffic guidance to the Park der Gärten from the motorway exit "Zwischenahner Meer" (No. 8) with the corresponding "tourist information sign" before the motorway exits or from the town of Bad Zwischenahn

There are free car parks for cars (P1 and P2), motorhomes (P1) and coaches (P1) in the immediate vicinity of the Park der Gärten.

The free car parks of the vocational schools (BBS 1 and 2) on Elmendorfer Straße are also available at weekends and during major events. 

A barrier-free toilet facility is available to the public and arriving park visitors in car park P1.

 

There are 4 charging points (wall boxes) for charging electric cars at the rear of car park 1. Free charging is available for a donation in the donation box provided.  

 

There is a campervan site located directly at the Park der Gärten (P1). You can stay here all year round, even outside the park season, on one of the 12 pitches. The pitches cannot be reserved. 

The pitches are made of gravel and grass. The campervan site is equipped with an electric charging point and a seasonal water connection as well as a barrier-free toilet facility and a "CamperClean". Service water can also be disposed of. Dogs are allowed on the pitch.

Every overnight guest needs a guest card for their holiday in Bad Zwischenahn. You can book this from the comfort of your own home, either via the WELCMpass app or via the WELCMpass-Webseite. The barrier-free public toilet facility in car park P1 is equipped with a fully automatic disposal and cleaning station for toilet cassettes (subject to a charge).
